Silent But Deadly

No sound to be heard

No cricket at night

No chirp of any bird

Nothing, yet brings me fright

Silence – as he is silent

Comes so barely

Creeping in like current

Bashing my ears sturdily

Silence, as he brings stillness

Silence, as he is void

Shatters his own quietness

Destroys his own peacefulness

Tearing down himself

Breaking his own purpose

Obliterating his own will

Devastating his very reason

Perhaps silence was not empty-handed

He came with his own killer

– His own clamour

Silence killed himself
